Pastille Chair (Pastilli, Gyro)
The Pastil Chair was designed in 1967 and two years later was
awarded the American Industrial Design Award 1968.
The Pastille chair was fun to use. It could be used indoors as
well as outdoors. It could even be used on water.
The New York Times described both the Ball chair and the Pastille
chair as "the most comfortable forms to hold up the the human
body". The Conran's Design Directory describes both chairs
as; "they now look like essays in period style, props from
Barbarella".
The Pastil Chair has been taken up again by Adelta in
1990 and shown for the first time again at the
International Furniture Fair in Cologne.
